BBM in Tourism, Aviation & Hospitality

Time changes and so does thought processes. Nothing seems grandeur and productive unless an initiative taken has a noble task instilled into it. Keeping this conviction in mind, it takes immense pride to “REDEFINE” conventional BBM in Tourism, Aviation and Hospitality to broaden the scope of employment in the industry. This application oriented program emphasizes not only on the subject related courses but at the same time paves the path towards the overall development of the students. Keeping this ideology in mind therefore, it is imperative that the industry diversification reflect upon the education that is imparted to the students. Hence, the importance of bringing in certain changes with regard to the syllabus has been found mandatory.

Presently the College offers B.A & B.Com. (3 years General and Honours Course.) and B.Sc. (3 years General Course) with career oriented courses in computer application, women studies, communicative English, Ecotourism. We also offer BBA course under very much academic and professional environment.

M.A in English and M.Sc in Geography.
Arts, Commerce and Science subjects are taught. The subjects which students can take up in various streams are mentioned below.

For Arts: Students have to select any 2-discipline courses (DSC) from 3 following groups for program:

  • For regular program in Commerce, combination of subjects is fixed both in HonoursandProgram.
  • ENVS and MIL/English will be distributed asunder:
    Semester-I (Honours) –ENVS
    Semester-I (Program) – MILL/English

    Semester-II (Honours) –
    MILL/English Semester-II
    (Program) – ENVS
  • AECC – ENVS question paper will be in MCQ pattern and computerized OMR sheet will beprovided.
  • Selection of Generic subjects by the students depends on the guided by the college authority (both for Honours&Program).

In addition to the above, all students have to take compulsory Bengali / Compulsory Hindi (Non-taught) / Alternative English (Non-taught).
BBA: The institution has one Bachelor management programme (BBA) which is self financing. The admission of the said course is completely merit based. The curriculum of the said courses is directed by the University. The students have to pay Rs 10000 per semester. The minimum entry qualification is Higher Secondary in any stream. We have three full time MBA faculties for this course. The commerce & Economics department shares their knowledge by their routine visit to the management department (BBA).
